University of Washington School of Medicine

The University of Washington School of Medicine is ranked twelfth in the nation among academic biomedical research institutions by U.S. News & World Report. Research in the School of Medicine is housed in 30 academic departments and numerous centers and institutes. Included in this community are four Nobel laureates and many members of the National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Medicine. UW Medicine's research achievements have had great impact, through discoveries that help patients and through new knowledge that advances the understanding of biology at its deepest levels.
